WINDING DOWN!!!

As we get closer to the start of the fall sports season I thought I'd update you on how things are going and let you know some important dates.

Football starts a week earlier than everyone else therefore we will be testing you out Starting next week Aug. 4th.  The times will remain the same but we will focus completely on testing and a final week of conditioning.  The lifts and agilities we will be testing out on are the Bench Press, Squat, and Power Cleans.  Also we will be testing on the 40yd dash, Pro Agility Run, and Vertical Jump.  The goal is to have them all done by Wednesday Aug. 6th.  With ONE make up day on the 7th.  Then practice starts the morning of Aug. 11th.

For all other sports testing will begin on the 11th of Aug.  Coaches of that particular sport will mostly be taking control of that as I will be involved in football practice.

It is important that you show up for this so you can see how all the hard work you've put in has paid off.  Of course if you haven't been coming then you probably won't see the gains you wanted but it is still important that you show up so you can see where you are at.  

Also there is an option for the Strength Training class that I would really like ALL athletes to take advantage of.  This is called the Early Bird class.  It starts before school and allows you to have an extra free period during the day.  I encourage this for a couple of reasons.  First because it allows you to get a better workout in than if you were in a class during the day.  It will be a little longer which allows us to focus on more things.  And secondly, because the closer you are to working out before practice the more tired you will be.  If you have questions on this please contact me.
