Hello!  Just a little update on how things are going!

The first winners of Lifter of the Month are Amber Reidy and Austan Pomajzl.  These two were voted on by myself and coaches who had been supervising the weight room.  They now become eligible for Lifter of the Year which will be presented in May.

As we get closer to the season and I observe kids in camps or pickup games.  The ones that have been in the weight room going through the program are standing out.  I said at the beginning of the year that we will develop lean explosive, faster, championship level athletes and its happening.  As well as the physical attributes you can see the confidence growing in them.  They walk a little taller than the start of the year.  If you or your kid hasn't been there its not to late.  But the gap is getting bigger by the day.  You still have an opportunity to make gains and be in good condition for the start of fall practice but you need to start coming now.

Speaking of fall practice, if you haven't started "fueling" your body with good foods and beverages now is a good time to start.  Start loading up on the lean proteins, green vegetables, and postassium rich fruits.  These will help with energy and limit cramping, and fatigue.  Stay away from the high sugar sports drinks.  Powerade Zero (available at Hy-Vee) is the best way to go.  And if you HAVE to drink gatorade then drink the G2.  Energy drinks and vitamin waters are the absolute worse way to go.
